This was my first time using beechwood briquettes and I’m absolutely thrilled with how long they last. Once they start glowing, they retain heat consistently for many hours and smolder again whenever needed. I used less than one briquette and broke it into three pieces, which I then scattered around the fireplace. Combined with some kindling and a firestarter, it didn’t take long for the wood to ignite.
For the first few hours, I left the air regulator open so that plenty of air could enter the fireplace. Nevertheless, the beechwood briquettes didn’t burn—in fact, the flames kept flaring and rekindling them. The wood briquettes gradually broke apart and spread throughout the firebox. I was astonished by the enormous heat generated, which permeated the entire house, even after many hours.
The advantages of beechwood briquettes really convinced me. The individual briquettes can be easily broken into the desired size, allowing you to add them as needed. This keeps your home comfortably warm for hours.
