We have written down our expertise as clearly as possible:
What is a STER, cubic meter, and layered cubic meter? Many terms for firewood.
What is a cubic meter:
The cubic meter corresponds to a cube with a side length of one meter (1 m), i.e., a volume of one cubic meter (1 m³) of layered wood, including the gaps between the stacks. This unit is useful when purchasing stacked logs, e.g., for self-collection. In southern Germany, “ster” is a more common term.
It’s important to note: A stere and a cubic meter are ONLY the same if the log is 1 meter long.
What is a layer cubic meter:
The stacked cubic meter corresponds to one cubic meter (1 m³) of stacked, short (oven-ready) logs, e.g., 30 cm long. Unlike the cubic meter (logs), the stacked cubic meter represents the wood cut to size (logs) and, unlike the loose cubic meter, is neatly stacked. This measurement is often used when firewood is transported or sold on a pallet.

Returns and delivery
Returns and delivery are two important aspects for any business that sells goods to customers. Delivery involves the transportation of products from the seller to the buyer. It involves many steps, including order processing, packaging, shipping, tracking, and delivery confirmation. Fast and reliable delivery is essential to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Returns, on the other hand, refer to products that customers return to the seller for various reasons, such as damage, incorrect size, or quality defects.
Proper returns management includes clear policies and processes that enable seamless returns and refunds. It contributes to maintaining good customer relationships and ultimately, repeat business. Therefore, companies must prioritize efficient delivery and easy returns management to ensure a positive customer experience. This way, they can strengthen customer loyalty and stay competitive.
